E-fatbike riding
How cool is it to discover Nijmegen on an electric Fatbike! The big advantage of an e-Fatbike over an e-Chopper is that you don’t need a driver’s license. While going as fast as an e-Chopper.

What did our guests think who went before you?
From what age can you ride an e-Chopper or e-Fatbike?
– For our
e-Choppers
there is a minimum age of 16. However, you must always have a (moped) driver’s license.
– For our e-Fatbikes are subject to a minimum age of 12 years. You don’t need a driver’s license for this but the bikes are on the large side.
How do I prepare properly?
– Everyone should bring a valid (moped) driver’s license . (This does not apply to our Fatbikes)
– Make sure you are properly dressed depending on the weather
– In the meantime, download the app Komoot. Through this app you can download one of our cool routes on the spot!
Can anyone ride on the back of an e-chopper?
We have 2 e-scooters for children who want to ride on the back. These go as fast as a chopper and feature a backrest and footrests. If you want to take advantage of this call or email after you make the booking. In fact, these e-scooters cannot be reserved online. Our E-choppers are made for 1 person. If you do want to take someone on the back then it is entirely at your own risk and the passenger must not be younger than 10 years old.
What is the best way to reach HOP & GO Nijmegen?
Are you coming by train?
From the train, it is a 10-minute walk to van Broeckhuysenstraat 28. A fun routes through the city.
Are you coming by car?
Then it’s best to park in parking garage Mariënburg P5. Address: Arsenaalgas 8, 6511 PE Nijmegen or parking lot de Wedren Address: Bijleveldsingel 147, 6524 NL Nijmegen From there it <is a 5-minute walk to our premises at van Broeckhuysenstraat 28.
Need a helmet:
As of Jan. 1, 2023, helmets will be mandatory. We arrange very cool old skool helmets. Helmets are included in the rental price.
How many E-Choppers and Fatbikes do you have?
In total you can rent 19 e-choppers, 2 e-fatbikes & 2 e-scooters (with back support for passengers) from us. For larger groups, we combine it with one of our other cool activities. Larger group: take a look at our beach location or group activities.
What does it cost to rent an e-chopper?
For 2 hours you pay €29.95 / for 3 hours you pay €37.95 / for a whole day €54.95. More info: click here. Want to know what routes are available by time block? Check here for 2 hours, 3 hours or a whole day.
How much does an E-chopper cost to buy?
The e-chopper is available from Hop & Go starting at €2,250.00. The E-chopper is completely electric therefore you save on fuel.
Is E-chopper driving difficult?
E-chopper riding is not difficult. The large tires and stability allow everyone to go out on their own after a brief explanation. At Hop & Go Nijmegen, you always get a good comprehensive explanation before you set out. There can also be a short test drive if you like. After this, the enjoyment can begin.
How fast does an E-chopper go?
An E-Chopper goes around 25-28 mph. Among other things, this makes it fall under the category of special mopeds by law. So with the E-Chopper you are allowed on the bike path and on the road.
